Why can't I dedicate multiple different keybinds for the multiple uses for a singular key? Maybe I want 'Space' to jump', 'Shift' to dash, and 'Ctrl' to bash. I can't even count how many times I've tried to rocket-jump using the shotgun-like blast, only to just be standing there because I held the button down for too long.

Same when trying to use the shotgun-like blast, but oops! I held left mouse button down for 0.02 too long meaning that it instead shoots the rifle-like shots. The amount of times I've tried to press 'Shift' to dash during combat is an embarrassment on the developer's behalf. I need to be able to focus on the game-play, but when the controls themselves crave such a large focus of mine due to how uncomfortable they are, I end up messing up & eventually trying to avoid dashing as my poor execution would just push me into further uncomfortable scenarios. I can't dedicate my attention as to whether or not I'm mid-air and thus whether or not I dash, when I'm being chased by a flock of enemies. I don't like having to press jump mid-air to pull-off a dash, as during high-intense combat I can't think like that. The fact that it's the same button to jump & bash as well pisses me off. The dash move is really annoying for me to pull-off. But maybe just make like 3 different seeds with unique spawns with correspondent unique scoreboards. I know that unique enemy spawns would f#ck up the scoreboard, as there'd be seeds with superior spawns towards a higherscore. The spawns of enemies never changes between runs, which makes every run seem samey & stale.

Yet after a singular hour and I'm already bored to sh!t by the same structural, static enemy placements & spawns. It's very arcade-y, I can appreciate that. I enjoy the idea of fighting for an overall bigger score, with no ulterior incentive like a straightforward story. The game-play loop of Hyper Demon is somewhat partially fun. I have a lot of hefty criticism in every aspect of the game. Yet ultimately it's really quite hard to express my dissatisfaction with how this game is upon playing it. The art-style is kind of crazy, and that alone kind of won me over into buying it. However Hyper Demon just seemed pretty cool. Devil Daggers never truly interested me, I felt like that game was really boring. I watched a review of this game, and thought it looked really cool & interesting it seemed really fun. This game is gonna make my eyes turn bright red. I'm going actually psycho-crazy over this game.

Hyper Demon makes me want to burn my fingernails, and thereafter insert them slowly into my eye-sockets, before ripping all my teeth using a machete.
